comercialization of facsimiles of medieval codices, illustrated
books, manuscripts and incunabula; the short limited print run
for these works is a unique edition of 997 copies specially
prepared for bibliophiles, collectors and art lovers in general.
We are also devoted to the distribution of art books and
graphics works by publishers who enjoy high prestige at national
and international levels.WHAT
IS A “FACSIMILE”?
It can be described as an accurate reproduction of an original;
in our case, these facsimiles are handwritten, illuminated
medieval codices, or old books which contain hand-coloured
illustrations or drawings. As a general rule, we can say that
there exists only a single copy, or a small number of copies of
them. It is almost impossible to find them and it is also very
expensive to acquire them, because these are priceless originals
(they can cost millions of euros). Our editions make real works
of art available to our customers; the originals are availble
only to a few experts in the world, because they are kept in the
best libraries and museums in the world. Due to our rigorous
work, we get accurate amazingly identical reproductions, in such
a way that even the small details, such as their feeling,
binding, pigments, gold, the holes made in the parchments or in
the paper or even the damp stains are exactly the same as in the
original piece of work. They are limited editions of 997 copies;
they are numbered before notary public, before whom we commint
ourselves not to repeat them in the future.
