In this first stage, we
can offer you a wide variety of pre-published latest releases.
Undoubtedly, “The
legend of the Holy Face” is one of the jewels included
in our catalogue; it is a magnificent codex kept at the Vatican
Library, with whom we publish jointly this work of art included
in the collection “Codices et Vaticanis Selecti, Series Mayor”.
The Atlas by
Abraham Ortelius (Theatrum Orbis Terrarum) and the
Civitates Orbis
Terrarum are two XVI century works which complement each
other. Our meticulous editions of the first Atlas and the first
book which contained maps and views of History cities will be
also complementary, although they can be purchased separately.
Finally, we have decided to include in our publishing programme
a book which dates back from a very later date than the ones
mentioned before, but it surprised us due to its outstanding
beauty and special characteristics. This book is
“Artistic and Monumental
Spain”, an exceptional illustrated work of art by the
most important painter of the Spanish Romanticism landscapes,
Jenaro Perez Villaamil. The magnificent illustrations of the
most beautiful places in Spain were the reason why the clever
booksellers of that age did not bind most part of the books in
order to be able to sell each of the illustrations separatedly.
The prose of the author of the text, the writer and journalist
Patricio de la Escosura, is worth being mentioned due to his
accurate and historically well-documented work.
